My personal selfie-taking procedure is: Camera slightly up and to the right. Look up enough to avoid the double-chin but not enough for the shadow of my glasses to make it look like I've got a unibrow. Widen my eyes. Smile a touch. Raise my eyebrows. Click the button. Adjust expression. Take another picture. Repeat as needed.
Then, having chosen my desired picture, I open it in Instagram and play with filters. Choose my cross-post settings, type a witty caption, and voila!
Okay, maybe that's a lot of work for one little picture of my face but heeeyyyy selfie-esteem!
